I'm building a new high-end gaming PC with an AMD Ryzen 9 7950X processor. I'm trying to decide between an air cooler and a liquid cooler for this CPU. What are your thoughts and recommendations?

I've been using the Ryzen 9 7950X with a high-end air cooler, the Noctua NH-D15, and it's been working great. The CPU temperatures remain well within the acceptable range even under heavy loads. Air coolers have come a long way, and if you get a good one like the NH-D15, you should be more than fine.

ARCTIC Liquid Freezer III 360 - Best budget liquid cooler for 7950X.

For the AMD Ryzen 9 7950X:

Air Coolers:

  • Simpler installation and maintenance.
  • Generally more cost-effective.
  • Reliable performance, especially with models like Noctua NH-D15.

Liquid Coolers:

  • Superior cooling for overclocking.
  • Aesthetically pleasing with RGB options.
  • Quieter under load but more complex and potentially costly.

Choose based on your cooling needs and budget.

I suggest you to get the liquid coolers, more cooler than air coolers.
