I'm looking to upgrade my PC and am interested in the upcoming AMD Ryzen 9 9950X processor.

However, further details and pricing have yet to be confirmed by AMD. The 9950X will also require a new motherboard and DDR5 RAM to take full advantage. Given the additional cost and platform change, I'm wondering if it's better to upgrade now to something like the Ryzen 9 5950X or hold off for the 9950X.

For those planning their own upgrades - are you going to wait for the Ryzen 9 9950X ? Appreciate any advice or insights you have. Trying to determine the best time to take the plunge on a new build.
