Hey everyone, I've been eagerly waiting for news about the release of the GeForce RTX 5090. Has anyone heard any rumors or leaks about when we can expect this beast of a GPU to hit the market? I'm ready to upgrade my rig!
CES 2025 in early January.
@levin_tany NVIDIA seems already confirmed the date. Will have a keynote at CES 2025.
According to some recent leaks, the RTX 5090 is expected to launch in Q4 2024, likely around October or November. However, keep in mind that these are just rumors, and Nvidia hasn't officially announced anything yet.
Typically Nvidia releases a new generation every 2 years or so:
Generation | Release |
---|---|
RTX 2080 Ti | Sep 2018 |
RTX 3090 | Sep 2020 |
RTX 4090 | Oct 2022 |
Based on that, I wouldn't expect a 5090 until late 2024. And that's assuming Nvidia sticks to the same schedule, which isn't guaranteed. The chip shortage delayed the RTX 40 series a bit.
Basically, it's pointless to speculate this far out. Let's just enjoy the monster performance of the 4090 for now! Plenty of time before we need to think about what's next.
Based on latest rumors, RTX 5090 will be released after RTX 5080, so could be in November/December 2024.

Maybe delayed until early 2025.
$1899 for CES 2025 launch.
Based on rumors, RTX 5090, RTX 5080, RTX 5070 will released in Q3-Q4 of 2024.
The earliest we expect to see the Nvidia RTX 5090 would be late 2024 or early 2025. Fortunately, the global chip shortage has eased up, so there aren’t any predicted delays for this next-gen chip.
Could be in November 2024.
