Best Laptop for Seniors?

I'm looking for recommendations on the best laptop for seniors. My parent primarily uses a computer for emailing, browsing the internet, and occasional document writing. They find technology challenging and need something user-friendly. I've heard mixed reviews about Chromebooks and tablets. Should I consider a Chromebook, or would a traditional laptop be better? What brands or models are known for their simplicity and reliability? Any advice on features to look for would also be appreciated!

For seniors who mainly do basic tasks, I recommend the HP Pavilion 15 or Lenovo IdeaPad 3. These laptops run Windows, which your parent may already be familiar with. They offer:

  • Large, clear 15.6" screens
  • Good battery life (8+ hours)
  • Simple layouts
  • Sturdy build quality
  • Reasonable price ($400-600)

I'd avoid Chromebooks since the different interface might confuse someone who's used to Windows. The HP and Lenovo models mentioned have large keyboards and touchpads, making them easier to use for seniors.
