I recently upgraded my GPU to a Radeon RX 7700 XT and I'm looking to get the most performance out of it. I'm currently running 16GB of DDR4-3200 RAM.
From what I've read, Ryzen CPUs and Radeon GPUs tend to benefit from faster memory speeds. Would it be worth upgrading to something like DDR4-3600 or even DDR5 RAM? I'm also not sure if there are any particular brands or kits that pair best with Radeon cards.
I mainly use my PC for gaming at 1440p. I'd appreciate any suggestions on the optimal RAM setup to maximize performance with the 7700 XT. Thanks in advance!
Choose DDR4 or DDR5 RAM is based on your CPU and Motherboard. Here are some recommendations of DDR4 RAM and DDR5 RAM:
DDR4 RAM AMD Build:
DDR5 RAM AMD Build:
DDR4 RAM Intel Build:
DDR5 RAM Intel Build:
It is based on your processor, if you use Ryzen 7000 series and intel 13th/14th CPUs, I highly recommended you to use DDR5 RAM.
The best RAM depends on your overall system and budget. For a mid-range build with the 7700 XT, 16GB of DDR4-3600 CL16 is a solid choice. If you're doing more than just gaming, consider 32GB. Brand-wise, I've had good experiences with Corsair and G.Skill.
DDR5 6000 cl30.
