I just managed to get my hands on an AMD Radeon RX 7800 XT graphics card. I'm looking to build a new high-end gaming PC around this GPU.
My question is - what RAM would you all recommend to pair with the 7800 XT? I know AMD cards can benefit from fast memory. Should I go for something like DDR5-6000 with tight timings? Or is that overkill and something like DDR5-5200 enough?
Also, does RAM capacity matter much for gaming performance with a powerful GPU like the 7800 XT? Would 32GB be recommended or is 16GB still sufficient for smooth 1440p or 4K gaming?
Here are my recommendations for RAM to pair with an AMD Radeon RX 7800 XT for a high-end gaming PC:
RAM Speed:
RAM Capacity:
In summary, my suggestion would be:
This will provide an excellent RAM configuration to complement the 7800 XT for high-end 1440p and 4K gaming, with enough capacity for the most demanding titles and multitasking.
DDR4 RAM with AMD Ryzen 5000 series CPUs are also good choice.
Unless you're doing serious productivity work, 16GB of DDR5 should still be plenty for gaming with a 7800 XT. I'd suggest these 16GB kits.
I recommend G.Skill DDR5 RAM.
