I'm upgrading my rig with a Ryzen 5 5600X and need advice on the best RAM to pair with it. What speed and capacity do you recommend for optimal performance? Any specific brands or models that work particularly well? I'm looking for a balance between performance and value. Thanks for your input!

DDR4 3600MHz CL16 is the sweet spot.

For a Ryzen 5 5600X, 3600MHz CL18 RAM offers an excellent balance of performance and value. 16GB (2x8GB) is generally sufficient for most tasks, but 32GB (2x16GB) provides headroom for demanding workloads. Corsair Vengeance LPX or Crucial Ballistix are popular choices. Faster RAM like 3800MHz offers marginal gains, so 3600MHz is the sweet spot.

I use G.Skill Trident Z Neo Series 32GB (2x16GB) DDR4 3600MHz CL16, love it.

Honestly any DDR4-3600 CL16 kit from reputable brands will work great. I'd stick with G.Skill, Crucial, or Corsair. The sweet spot is 16GB for gaming or 32GB if you run lots of chrome tabs/applications. Just make sure to get a dual-channel kit (2 sticks) rather than single stick.

G.Skill Ripjaws V 3600MHz CL16 (16-19-19-39) has been the sweet spot for my 5600X build. Zen 3 architecture responds really well to 3600MHz RAM with tight timings, and this kit hits the perfect balance of price and performance. Running with FCLK at 1800MHz for that perfect 1:1 ratio, and my benchmarks show it's right where it should be.
