I've recently transitioned to working from home full-time and realized that my current monitor isn't cutting it for long hours of productivity. I'm in the market for a new monitor that will help me work efficiently and comfortably from my home office.

I'm looking for a monitor with a screen size between 24" to 27", good color accuracy for design work, and features that reduce eye strain during extended use.

I would greatly appreciate any recommendations based on your experiences or insights. What monitors have worked well for you in your home office setup? Are there any specific features or brands I should consider?

Hi there! Upgrading your monitor can make a huge difference in both comfort and productivity when working from home. Based on your requirements, here are a couple of great options to consider:

  1. Dell UltraSharp U2720Q 27" 4K UHD Monitor

    • 27" 4K (3840 x 2160) IPS display with thin bezels
    • Excellent color accuracy with 99% sRGB and 95% DCI-P3 color gamut
    • USB-C connectivity with 90W power delivery for charging laptops
    • Highly adjustable stand with tilt, swivel, pivot, and height adjustment
    • Built-in ComfortView feature reduces blue light emission for eye comfort
  2. ASUS ProArt PA27AC 27" WQHD Monitor

    • 27" WQHD (2560 x 1440) IPS display with 100% sRGB and Rec. 709 color space
    • Pre-calibrated for exceptional color accuracy (ΔE < 2)
    • USB-C, HDMI, and DisplayPort connectivity options
    • Ergonomic stand with tilt, swivel, pivot, and height adjustment
    • ASUS Eye Care technology with flicker-free and low blue light features

In my experience, prioritizing ergonomics and color accuracy has been key for long hours of comfortable and efficient work. Both of these monitors offer great color reproduction for design work and have features to reduce eye strain.

If you have a smaller desk space, a 24" model like the Dell UltraSharp U2422HE or ASUS ProArt PA24AC could also be excellent choices with similar features.

Remember to properly position your monitor at a comfortable viewing distance and angle to further optimize ergonomics. Using a monitor arm can help with this and free up valuable desk space.

For a home office on a budget, the Asus ProArt PA32UC is a great 32" 4K option. You get a big, high-res screen, 100% sRGB color coverage, and plenty of inputs. The stand has full tilt, swivel, pivot adjustments. I've been using this for WFH the past year and it's been fantastic for the price.
