Hi everyone,

I'm having some trouble with my ASUS TUF VG32VQ1B monitor. It's been working perfectly fine until recently, but now it's started flickering on and off intermittently. Here are some details about the issue:

  • The monitor is connected to my PC via DisplayPort.
  • The flickering is random and can happen while I'm doing anything – gaming, browsing, or even when the screen is idle.
  • The monitor is less than a year old, so I don't think it's a hardware aging issue.
  • I've tried switching to HDMI, but the problem persists.
  • I've updated my graphics drivers to the latest version.

Has anyone else experienced this issue with the ASUS TUF VG32VQ1B? Any suggestions on how to fix it? I'm not sure if it's a hardware problem or if there's a setting I need to adjust.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Specs:

  • Monitor: ASUS TUF VG32VQ1B
  • GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070
  • CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5800X
  • OS: Windows 10 (64-bit)

Here are a few steps you can try to troubleshoot the issue:

  1. Check the cables: Ensure that your DisplayPort or HDMI cable is properly seated and not damaged. Try using a different cable to rule out any issues with the current one.
  2. Test the monitor on another device: If possible, connect the monitor to a different computer or laptop to see if the flickering persists. This can help determine if the issue is with the monitor or your PC.
  3. Adjust the refresh rate: Sometimes, flickering can occur due to an incompatible or unstable refresh rate. Try changing the refresh rate in your display settings to see if that helps.
  4. Update the monitor's firmware: Check the ASUS website for any available firmware updates for your VG32VQ1B monitor. Applying an update might resolve the issue.

Good luck! Let us know if any of these suggestions help.

Since both DisplayPort and HDMI are showing the problem, and you've updated drivers, it likely isn't a simple cable or software issue. Given it's less than a year old, it could be a hardware fault within the monitor, even if it's not age related. Have you tried testing the monitor on a different PC if you have one available? This would help isolate whether it's truly the monitor or something in your PC setup. If the problem persists on another computer, it strongly suggests a monitor hardware issue. Since it's still under warranty, I'd recommend contacting ASUS support directly. They might have specific troubleshooting steps for this model or be able to initiate a repair/replacement. Good luck!
