I'm planning to build a PC with an AMD Ryzen 7 5700X and I'm looking for a budget-friendly motherboard that won't bottleneck my CPU. I don't need fancy features, just something reliable that allows basic overclocking. What do you recommend?

For AM4 motherboards, recommended MSI B550 options include:

  • MSI B550M PRO-VDH WIFI (budget micro-ATX)
  • MSI B550-A PRO (mid-range ATX)
  • MSI MAG B550 Tomahawk WIFI (premium ATX)

The B550M PRO-VDH WIFI is a solid baseline choice. Consider upgrading to ATX models like B550-A PRO or Tomahawk WIFI for better component spacing, cooling, and features. The Tomahawk is sufficient unless using Ryzen 7 5800X3D or DDR4-3800 RAM.
