I'm putting together a high-end build with an RTX 4090 GPU and an Intel i9-14900K CPU. I know these components are power-hungry beasts, so I'm looking for recommendations on the best PSU to handle this setup. What wattage should I aim for to ensure stable performance and future-proofing? Are there any specific brands or models you'd recommend for reliability and efficiency? I'm also curious about whether I should consider ATX 3.0 PSUs with the new 12VHPWR connector. Any insights on cable management or other factors I should consider would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance for your help!
I'd recommend aiming for a 1000W PSU at minimum, but preferably 1200W for better headroom and future-proofing.
@matthew0000 A higher-wattage power supply operates under less strain, generating less heat and noise. 1200 watts offers superior performance and efficiency.
1000W PSU is enough for this build.
I'm running a similar setup with a MSI MPG A1000G. It's been rock solid and has no issues with power spikes. Just make sure whatever PSU you choose is at least 80+ Gold certified, and preferably Platinum or Titanium for better efficiency.

Anyone uses 850W PSU, can it handle this combo?
