I'm building a new PC with the Gigabyte B650 Aorus Elite AX motherboard and I'm looking for recommendations on the best SSD to pair with it. I want something that maximizes performance, especially for gaming and content creation. Thanks in advance for your help!

The Samsung 990 Pro NVMe SSD would be a great match for that board. It fully utilizes the PCIe 4.0 interface, hits sequential reads up to 7,450 MB/s, and has solid reliability. The 2TB model offers good value if it's in your budget.

I'm running the Samsung 990 Pro 2TB on that board and it works great. The B650's PCIe 4.0 lanes handle it perfectly. Getting full advertised speeds (~7,450 MB/s reads). Just make sure you install it in the top M.2 slot with the heatsink.
